Argentina is a very large country on the southeast of South America, running from the polar south to the tropical north. The population is very European in ancestry, with roughly half being pure-European in background, and another large section being mostly European in background.
It has a large Arab population (9±%), but which is intermarried and assimilated into the country’s larger demographic This is because it is heavily Maronite (Catholic) Lebanese who assimilate well.
Interestingly, Argentina has around 180,000 Jews – the seventh largest Jewish population in the world – and they can be politically active.

I had to erase an old post (from 2013) about Arab cooking in Argentina – the video link was dead. So I found a similar post around the same time … also about Arab cooking … also from Argentina.
My Spanish is not so good that I could translate it.
Argentina joined the growing list of nations which have blacklisted Hezbollah.
Argentina can do this relatively easily. Most of Argentina’s Arab population is Christian with little or no sympathy for Hezbollah. While Argentina’s Arabs are roughly 10% Muslim, most of them are non-practicing.
Hezbollah has been caught running money laundering and drug smuggling operation in Latin America, and frankly most of Latin America’s countries consider them destablizing.
