Chile’s UGEP is Radicalized

Bvr32wNIUAAl0NM[1]

This is a notice for a debate on Wednesday August 26 between supporters of Israel and Palestine.

It was posted on the UGEP-Chile Twitter Post earlier today.

The Union General de Estudiantes Palestinos (General Union of Palestinian Students) UGEP is a transnational group. This is their Chilean branch.

This debate looks proper, but one has to go to the UGEP Site to see how hostile to Israel they are.

Almost all of Chile’s Palestinians (500,000) are Christians. Chile has only 4,000 Muslims out of 17 Million people, making Chile one of the most Muslim free countries on earth. Even if all the Muslims in Chile were Palestinian – which is preposterous – it would still mean that less than 1% of the Palestinians in Chile are Muslim.

So it is amazing to see Palestinian-Christian-Chileans supporting an Islamist group like Hamas.

Even the Chilean Media is deceptive.

This history of Arabs in Chile starts off with Muslims bowing down in prayer. Yet 99% plus of Chile’s Arabs are Christians. NOT Muslims. Why the deception?!

Chilean Media portray a Muslim heritage in Chile that barely ever existed.

Half the world’s Christian (Not Muslim) Palestinians live in Chile. They are elite and have clout well above their numbers (3% of the population in Chile). These Christian Palestinians are swinging Chile and a continent by deception.

Venezuela’s TeleSUR Is An Iranian Front

Posted on YouTube: August 22, 2014

While untranslated, the opening title says: The World is silent before the barbarism of Israel in Gaza.

TeleSUR is a transational network in South America with the majority share held by Venezuela.

Wikipedia

[TeleSUR] is a pan–Latin American terrestrial and satellite television network headquartered in Caracas, Venezuela. TeleSUR was launched with the objective of providing information to promote the integration of Latin America.

Venezuela, thanks to Hugo Chavez, is an ally of Iran; and allows Iran’s HispanTV.

Wikipedia

HispanTV’s programming has been distributed in Venezuela, Spain, Argentina, Cuba and other countries worldwide and is intended to reinforce ties between Iran and Latin American states such as Venezuela, Bolivia, Chile, Ecuador, Peru, Colombia, and Mexico as well as to counter what the Iranian government sees as unfair coverage in Western media. The channel is similar to Press TV, an English language news channel and Al-Alam an Arabic satellite TV station also owned by the Iranian state, which claim to provide “accurate and unbiased coverage of the world and the Middle East events as they unfold.”

In July 2013, HispanTV and other Iranian channels have been removed from several European and American satellites, allegedly because of the Iran sanctions, even though an EU spokesman said that these sanctions do not apply to media

England and Spain have pulled Iran’s propaganda (English language Press TV and Spanish language HispanTV) off from their European Satellites.

Yet, Iran’s networks both survive on the internet.

However, Iran’s propaganda is distributed, with Latin governments’ approval, thoughout Latin America.

From the Spanish language About Statement on the YouTube page for this video.

YouTube About Statement

There are several voices that condemn international silence toward Israel’s military offensive against the Gaza Strip that has killed, by far, more than 2,000 Palestinians. To Susana Khalil, Palestinian resident in Venezuela, only the progressive governments of Latin America have spoken out against the horror and barbarism caused by the Israeli army. teleSUR. (Used Google to translate)

Note:  teleSUR is Spanish for Tele South, as in South of the USA.

A lot of this is uncontested by the USA or Israel in South America.

Pro-Israel March in Argentina

Posted on You Tube: August 11, 2014

The YouTube poster was Marc100Arg, who is a a very pro-Israel YouTube poster.

marceloMarcelo100Arg has claimed, in the past, to be an Argentine Catholic of Italian extraction, but who knows? Now he claims to be Moroccan-Argentine, yet he left the former pro-Vatican statement after he suddenly claimed a Moroccan ancestry.

His videos are often very pro-Israel, and one wonders if he is a Hasbara (Israel Propaganda) activist. That being said, he does post videos which show that some Christians in Latin America do support Israel, even if they are drowned out by a much louder Arab community.

Marcelo condemns the Kirchner government in Argentina for corruption and for supporting Hamas.

Argentina has the largest Jewish community in the Spanish speaking world and the 6th largest after Israel.

So, it would be rather easy to bring out support for Israel in Buenos Aires. About 350,000 Argentines have some Jewish heritage, even if they are no longer Jewish by religion.

Argentina is unique in this. Jews have had a lot of influence in Argentina, unlike other Latin American countries.

I cannot vouch how recent this video is, but it was posted on August 11, 2014.
