Alphabet Lesson from Islam Recife

From YouTube: Jan 11, 2014

The is from a group called Islam Recife.

Recife is a town in Northern Brazil.

The Islamic aspect may not thrill you, but in reality, Brazil is in the midst of a major Evangelical Revival.

Brazil is now over 26% Evangelical

Evangelicalism

The largest concentration of Evangelicals can be found in the United States, with 28.9% of population or 91.76 million, less than a quarter of the world figure. The next most populous is Brazil with 26.3% or 51.33 million.

According to the 2000 Census, 15.4% of the Brazilian population was Protestant. A recent research conducted by the Datafolha institute shows that 25% of Brazilians are Protestants, of which 19% are followers of Pentecostal denominations. The 2010 Census found out that 22.2% were Protestant at that date.

Look at those figures. Brazil is exploding with an growing Evangelical Revival. Roughly 2 million converts a year.

Meanwhile, the official Brazilian Census of 2010 lists only 35,167 Muslims (Click Here)

What this means is that, while Muslims are there in Brazil and have a media presence, their numbers are miniscule. In reality, given the trends, it is impossible to doubt that many are converting to Evangelicalism.

What this means in fact is that if 1 million Palestinians were paid to move to Brazil, over time – and probably very quickly – they would convert to an Evangelical sect.

Arab-Chilean gave lecture in Tennessee

Al-Imad lectures history of Middle East conflict

By Jessica Mynatt

On Oct. 24, Professor Leila Al-Imad gave a summary of the long history of political conflicts in that area.

Her father was Lebanese and her mother was from Chile. She offered a unique perspective on the subject.

Professor Al-Imad explained how outside influences were causing changes in the Middle East.

“In the middle of the nineteenth century, nationalism hit the Middle East,” she said.

The idea of nationalism was coming from the west, and the idea of fundamentalism was coming from the east.

It became a cultural idea that problems were caused by people not living up to their religion, and this view encouraged the fundamentalist movement.

Islamic Chair in Catholic University?!

Islamic Chair in Catholic University?!

A PERMANENT CHAIR OF ISLAM in a Catholic University in a very small secular country with almost NO Muslims?!

permanent_chair_islam_uy
There are only around 400 Muslims in the whole country1.

Where is the money for this department coming from?

Uruguay is very unusual in South America in that it fought religious vs. secular wars over a century ago. The seculars won; and forced a complete separation of Church and State. In fact, Uruguay may be the most secular country in the Western Hemisphere.

History

Uruguay banned crucifixes in hospitals by 1906, and eliminated references to God and the Gospel in public oaths. Divorce laws were also established during this time.

Its premier University is the Catholic University, but the people are generally secular. Catholic in name only.

There are 20-25,000 Jews in Uruguay compared 400 Muslims. A ratio of 50 or more to 1.

It is true that the Catholic University has a permanent Chair of Judaism, as well; but with 20-25,000 Jews in Uruguay, they could support such a chair.

Who is supporting an Islamic Chair?  WHO?!

If anyone doubts outside money is not going in to South America, this is the proof.

Why on earth would Uruguay, a small country of only 3.5 Million people, with only 400 Muslims, have a PERMANENT CHAIR OF ISLAM at a Catholic University?!

1There are 70,000 Lebanese Christians, though; but they are Catholic or Maronite Catholic, NOT Muslim. This video (Click Here) at (1:19) asserts the number is as high as 90,000 Maronite Christians; but the point is: They are Christian of one stripe or another, NOT Muslim.
